February 4 is traditionally the Day of Courage in the US. But all over the world we can celebrate Rosa Parks' bravery, extraordinary spirit, and humility as an inspiration to us all to make a positive change in the world.
Every big change starts with one small step.
Or one bus seat. When Rosa Parks, an African-American, refused to give up her seat in the white section of the bus in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955, she sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott campaign and became an important symbol of the freedom rights movement.
